Megan comes to the field of psychotherapy through a diverse and varied journey. Growing up farming in rural Ontario, Megan went on to complete her undergraduate degree with a major in history, signifying the beginnings of her exploration into human nature. Megan has been working in the mental health field for the past five years as a Child Youth Care Practitioner. Working in educational settings, in youth justice, and representing disabled children/youth and their families through integrated respite/coordination, Megan has gained an appreciation and understanding of the importance of holistic advocacy.
Megan is certified in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), Non-violent Crisis Intervention, and has experience participating in Critical Incident Stress Debriefings. Megan is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapist of Ontario (CRPO). Megan practices from a person-centred approach that promotes empowerment so that you may reach your goals both during and after the therapeutic relationship has ended. Equipping you with the skills needed to optimize your life is her professional passion.
“I have navigated the waters of mental illness myself, and strongly desire to help others successfully overcome their own challenges. I believe in working collaboratively and walking together so that you may achieve your goals.”
