Olivia Bullock

Intern Psychotherapist

(Qualifying)

Olivia is coming into the psychology field from a path of personal exploration. Like many, Olivia has challenged herself to grow and develop a multitude of skills. Growing up in Fort Erie, she has love and nostalgia for the area and the people who live here. Olivia went to Brock University and achieved a Bachelor of Outdoor Recreation with a minor in Environmental Studies. She has always had a desire to make a positive difference, and this is how her journey began. While in her undergrad she learned about the value of human connection as well as connection to nature. Reflection, mindfulness, personal struggle and the feeling of gratification upon completion of a task especially difficult were all learned and taught through guiding and attending wilderness trips. Olivia is a competent group leader, demonstrates empathy, and excels at skill building, servant leadership and goal setting. She is currently completing her Master's Degree in Counselling and Psychology at Yorkville University and also Gottman Method Couples Therapy with the Gottman Institute. She is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and also a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Olivia practices from a solution-focussed, strength-based approach but orients her counselling to the needs of the client and is open to working collaboratively on different methods if they suit the situation.
"I believe that every individual is capable of personal growth and has the ability to achieve their goals. There is strength to be found in everything we do even if it is hard to see at first glance, and this strength can be applied to any challenging conditions!"
